Following discussions due to Thomas’s ongoing personal commitments the club has accepted his resignation.
Thomas joined the club back in September last year after we made a very poor start to the season.
Thomas came in as Head of football and stayed on the side lines to support the coaching staff and crucially brought back players that had previously been released and these actions subsequently led to the club enjoying it’s most successful season in the clubs 75 year history making the 1st round of the FA Trophy, winning the Southern League Challenge Cup and achieving our highest ever league position of 5th and therefore making the play off’s .
Thomas commented “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club, it’s been a pleasure to have played a part in a special season. I would like to thank the players, staff, board and fans for their continuous support and I wish you all every success for the future. “
The club wishes to thank Thomas for all of his hard work and for his valuable contribution to the clubs best ever season and he will always be a welcome visitor at Stratford.
Steve Walker and Paul Davis will continue in joint caretaker manager roles whilst the club reviews the interest and applications for the Managers position.
