Two goal hero

Jemiah bails out Town again with two late goals to earn a point at the DCS Stadium.

Jemiah Richards

Jemiah Richards again showed his goal scoring touch, to secure a point from a game that few of the Town faithful believed was possible with 15 minutes to go and had the referee seen the late penalty shout in a different way who knows what might have happened.

The Gaffer will know what needs to be done to take three points from the game at Topps Park on Tuesday night if the game goes ahead. The current forecast is for the temperature to rise to 6 degrees during the day but to fall to -2 by 9.00pm.

For those traveling to Oadby (LE2 5QG), following the directions below;
From junction 21 M1/M69 Take Southern outer ring road A563 south. In 4 ½ miles turn right at traffic lights signposted A5199 Wigston (Welford Road) In approx 1 mile at roundabout turn left onto B562 Oadby Road. Ground is 1 mile on the right opposite Leicester Tigers Rugby F.C training ground.

The Gaffer will have been pleased with the contribution of new boy Tim Jackson as he claimed two ‘assists’ but conversely will be concerned with the apparent lack of concentration from the defense from the set plays. For a side which so many 6 feet + players in the side, two of the goals were conceded far too easily.

The Gaffer will also be hoping that the midfield find their creative prowess again on Tuesday, as Saturday appeared to be an 'off day'.

Elsewhere in the Aspire MFA, there was almost a major shock at Kirkby Road on Saturday, as Coalville were only one minute away from being the first team to defeat Barwell in front of the highest crowd in the MFA this season – 293. Also, Tipton Town only managed a 1-0 at Town’s opponents next week, Loughborough University.
