Rod Brown
The Gaffer's views as the big freeze looms.......... 'I was hoping Santa would bring me a 'top goalscorer', says The Gaffer.
Rod Brown has now lifted Town into third place winning 7 out of the last 8 games in the MFA games.

Saturdays Birmingham Mail reported;
ROD BROWN believes the decisions of key figures Dennis Pearce and Lucan Spittle to remain at Stratford Town for the rest of the season will be a big boost to his side.
Defender Pearce and utility man Spittle had initially joined on loan from Halesowen Town and Redditch United respectively.
But manager Brown is delighted to be able to include them in their push for the top three in the Aspire Midland Alliance.
“Both are staying for the rest of the season and that’s a big plus,” says Brown. “We are an evolving team and now we’re getting a good squad of players. Our starting XI is as strong as anybody in the league and now we’ve got some good players on the bench as well.”
Having moved into third place, Brown is confident Stratford can build on their efforts in the first half of the season. “Our win at Highgate took us up to third in the table and if you had said at the start of the season that we would go into the New Year in the top three I would have been happy,” says Brown.
In Saturday's match day programme The Gaffer told editor Alan Hawkins;
I always said that as the league season continues we will get stronger. We have assembled a very good group of players a good mixture of experience and a lot of youth.
My New Years resolutions are to beat the teams around us by being more composed and add more focus in these games.
I was hoping Santa would bring me a ‘top goalscorer’ but well have to wait and see. It is very important that our good attitude and ‘dressing room banter’ is translated on the pitch.
The Gaffer also told the Sunday Mercury;
It’s certainly Barwell’s title. They are 15 points clear so they could lose four games in the second half of the season and still be clear’.
They have earned the right to be there. They finished second last season and the manager has
added four or five players to his squad since then.
I want us to finish second and then do what Barwell have done this season. I believe we have the 3 second best squad in the league and with the facilities we have here at Stratford, we need to get out of this division.
We made it difficult for ourselves but that’s the difference between ourselves and Barwell, we cannot finish teams off’.
