Big week for top six in Aspire MFA

New Year week brings some interesting games at the top of the MFA.

On New Year’s Saturday run-away league leaders Barwell travel to in-form Oadby for a tricky tie, especially as Barwell haven’t played since mid December.

And in the chasing pack, second place Coaville face the prospect of a trip to Kirby Muxloe, who are unbeaten in their last six games and as Town found out back in October it will be a tough place to get a result. Fourth place Alvechurch entertain Westfields who still have a number of games in hand on the top six and not overlooking Tipton Town who go to Coventry Sphinx who are still unbeaten at home all season.

On Tuesday league leaders Barwell are again on their travels, this time to the fortress that is Sphinx Drive and then on Wednesday Coalville are at Tipton Town.

Weather permitting this could really sort out those teams that can sustain a top six place as most teams complete the half way stage of their season.

For Town it’s the prospect of another local derby against Studley, who have made a habit of embarrassing Town at home in recent seasons.
