Town hit Coventry Sphinx with four first half goals as football returned to the DCS Stadium on Tuesday evening.  Mark Smith hit the first after only 33 seconds followed by two from Jemiah Richards and one from Tommy Warmer.  Sphinx replied with two of their own afterthe break but Town were convincing winners.

The majority of tables have already been taken up for the first of Town's fund-raising events.

Groundsman John Levi confirmed today that tomorrows game against Coventry Sphinx will go ahead.

Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control the club will not be open on Saturday mornings for tea and coffees until further notice. The club will open at 12.00 noon.

Despite the quick thaw and the heavy rain on Saturday night, the Groundstaff are hopeful that Tuesday's local derby will go ahead.

With a good 3 to 4inches of snow still lying on the pitch at the DCS Stadium, Rod Brown has now firmed up his contingency plans for a friendly on Saturday.

Confirmation has now been received, that tomorrow game that was due to be played at Stourbridge, has been postponed.

Town Blues looking for more players to join Stratford Alliance.

With around 5 inches of snow still lying on the 3G pitch, The Gaffer is appealing for volunteers to help clear the snow for a training session on Saturday.

Saturdays return for the Grasshoppers has been cancelled due to snow and freezing conditions.

The Midland Combination have taken the decision to cancel all Saturday's fixtures including Town A's home fixture against Polesworth on the 3G pitch.

Town have been advised in recent weeks by the MFA and the Southern League ground grading committees that additional covered accommodation is now required at the DCS Stadium.

Whilst most other clubs have suffered the effects of the bleak mid winter, Town have managed to play on the last two Saturdays over the festive period.

In the only Aspire MFA fixture to survive the freeze Town beat local rivals Studley 3-2 having also won the game at The Beehive back in August.  Mark Smith (2) and Mark Faulds were the scorers.

Groundstaff at the DCS Stadium are not expecting to call for pitch inspection for tomorrows game.

The two postponed games have now been rearranged.

New Year week brings some interesting games at the top of the MFA.

Rod Brown took full advantage of being only one of three games played on Boxing Day in the Aspire MFA.

There are still a few tickets left for Thursday nights New Years Eve Party at the DCS Stadium.

On a real gluepot of a pitch Town had to dig deep to come away with a valuable three points at Tythe Barn Lane on Saturday.  Mark Smith bagged both the goals in a 2-1 scoreline.

Highgate have advised that their pitch is fit for this afternoon's game which goes ahead with a 3 pm kick-off

Highgate have informed us that the match referee will carry out a pitch inspection at 10.00am on Boxing Day.

Weather permitting the Boxing Day fixture at Highgate will kick off at 3.00pm. With (slightly) milder weather forecast for the weekend, it will be fingers crossed that the game goes ahead.

Due to a frozen pitch and snow, tomorrow nights Aspire MFA league game has been postponed. The game will now be played on Tuesday 12th January. Have a great Christmas.

Other than the 1st team and Town A all our other teams are now on their Christmas break.

With Knights Lane hosting the only game in the area on Saturday, the club was a magnet  for Groundhoppers.

It will be all eyes on the weather for Tuesday evening but the current forecast is minus 2.

The twice postponed league cup game against Malvern Town has been rescheduled for Wednesday 6th January, 7.45pm KO.

Chas Bennet, who is a regular helper on match days and also helps the Groundstaff duirng the week has recently returned from hospital and is recovering at home.

It will be another three weeks before Town supporters can cheer on Rod Brown’s charges at the DCS Stadium, as the scheduled fixtures have provided two away games in succession. In addition Town also have to travel to Cradley, yet again, for the abandoned game back in November.

 

A hat tick from Ladies leading goalscorer Lisa Slowther wasn’t enough to overhaul Solihull.

This Saturday’s local derby showdown with in-form Coventry Sphinx, is already shaping up to be a game of more significance than just local bragging rights.

Matt Brown turned out for Rugby Town yesterday only days after returning to Bedworth.

After an emphatic win at Banbury Utd, Town Youth team lead the Eastern Division of the Midland Floodlit Youth League.

 

After a week which had included defeats by Tipton and Alvechurch and the departure of last season's leading scorer Jozsef Jakab Town bounced back with a gutsy 2-1 win at Bridgnorth.  Man of the Match Sam Alsop and substitute Matt Brown were the goalscorers.
